Amazon Global Marketplace Integration

Selling on Amazon's global marketplaces offers businesses the opportunity to reach millions of potential customers. However, selling in different countries is not just about sending the product to another Amazon store. Each target market's currency, region, product type, mandatory attributes, and pricing conditions may differ.

One of the most critical risks in global sales is sending products with the wrong currency. A product in your IHASHOP store might be priced at 4,500 TL. If this number is sent to the German market without conversion, it could be interpreted by Amazon as 4,500 EUR. Amazon does not view this as a technical error; the product upload succeeds, but no sales occur because it is listed far above its actual value.

In the opposite case, a low figure intended in Euros could be incorrectly sent to Turkey or another market, causing the product to be sold far below its actual value.

The IHASHOP Amazon Global Marketplace Integration verifies the target market's currency and exchange rate before product upload to prevent these silent and costly errors. If a valid and up-to-date exchange rate for the target currency is not found, the product is intentionally not sent. This prevents the product from being listed as extremely expensive or extremely cheap due to the wrong currency.

The module can connect a single IHASHOP store to different Amazon regions. The target region and default marketplace can be selected from the supported Amazon marketplaces in Europe, North America, and the Far East regions. The region and the marketplace must belong to the same Amazon region; the process will not start in case of incompatible selections.

The Amazon connection is established with a modern authorization flow. The user clicks the Connect with Amazon button, grants the necessary permissions on the Amazon side, and the store connection is completed. The permanent Amazon access key is not stored on the customer server; only access tokens that are valid for a specific period and renewed are transferred to the store.

Instead of the classic category tree, Amazon uses the product type logic. Product type codes such as SHIRT, LUGGAGE, or HOME_BED_AND_BATH determine the mandatory attributes that Amazon will require for the respective product. The module displays the mandatory fields of the selected product type. If there is a missing or invalid attribute, no value is made up; product submission is stopped and the missing field is reported to the user.

Prior to product submission, the target marketplace, exchange rate, price, product type, mandatory attributes, and image links are checked. Only HTTPS image URLs accessible via the internet are sent to Amazon. Images can be adapted to the format supported by Amazon. If no valid image is found, the product is not submitted.

Amazon’s ACCEPTED response does not mean the product is live. This only indicates that the submission has been processed by Amazon. IHASHOP initially keeps the product in "submitted" status; the actual publishing result, warnings, and error codes from Amazon are later displayed on the product status screen.
