Notification Management — Who, When, and Through Which Channel?
Use the Notification Routing Matrix to manage email, SMS, and WhatsApp notifications sent to customers and administrators for order events.
Notification Routing Matrix
Communication & Messaging → Notification Routing Matrix is the command center of your notification system. Events such as New Order, Payment Received, Shipped, Delivered, and Cancelled appear in the rows; recipients (Administrator / Customer) appear in the columns; and each cell contains channel switches for Email, SMS, and WhatsApp.
- A notification is sent automatically for every enabled event, recipient, and channel combination.
- If the template for an enabled channel is empty, a red “!” warning appears on the relevant row. No message is sent until the template is completed.
- Use Go to Logs to view the complete delivery history for that event, including recipient, time, result, and error details.
Templates
- Edit event-based message texts under Notification Center → Email Templates and SMS Templates. Variables such as
{{customer_name}}and{{order_number}}are filled automatically by the system. - If your templates are empty, use Load Demo Templates to install ready-made texts with one click. Templates you have already completed are not changed.
Sender Settings
- Email: Enter your SMTP information under Notification Center → Email Settings. Using a corporate email address improves deliverability.
- SMS: Enter the API credentials for NetGSM or a similar provider in the provider section at the top of the SMS Templates page.
- WhatsApp: If the WhatsApp Support module is installed, order notifications are managed through that module. The WhatsApp column in the matrix uses the same settings.
Tip: The three most important customer notifications are Payment Received, Shipped, and Delivered. Make sure the shipment message also includes the tracking number, and keep all three notifications enabled.
